Guinness Storehouse Gravity Bar expansion and new Hub building

PJ Hegarty was awarded the prestigious contract to work on the Guinness Storehouse — which has consistently been Ireland’s most popular tourist attraction for many years. The project consisted of works in three distinct areas: Alteration and extension of 466m² to the iconic panoramic view Gravity Bar on the seventh floor; 360m² of alterations at fifth floor level, and 151m² of alterations at lower ground floor level.

Phase 2 of the project involved building the new Guinness Storehouse Hub, a four-storey facilities block beside the Guinness Storehouse building. The Hub features staff facilities including new toilets, locker and shower rooms and a new restaurant. The new building is also used as a retail storage space, as well as housing the Guinness archives.
