MSD Manufacturing Facility and Logistics Building

This project for MSD Animal Health involved the delivery of key civil works for a new Paracox Vaccine Manufacturing Facility and Logistics Building within a live and operational factory environment. The complex works included extensive groundworks, high-specification concrete structures, and precision finishing to support MSD’s critical manufacturing processes. We undertook 10,000m³ of cut and fill operations, alongside 5,000m³ of soil stabilisation to prepare the site for construction.

Client : MSD Animal Health
Value : £11 million

A central feature of the development was the installation of a 2,000m² FM2 laser screed slab engineered to tight flatness tolerances to support high-performance logistics operations as well as a 2,000m² reinforced concrete service yard to accommodate vehicle loading and plant movements.Working across three separate buildings, we also constructed a 3,000m³ cold store, a 400m³ freezer, and a 200m³ incubator facility, all designed to meet stringent thermal performance and hygiene standards. These elements combined to form a total building footprint of 5,000m².

With careful planning, collaboration, and execution, we delivered the project two weeks ahead of schedule, facilitating a smooth and immediate integration into MSD’s ongoing vaccine production activities.
